drawing is the most important part of my practice. drawing is everything. one of my mentors giancarlo giusti taught me this. the purpose of drawing is to delineate information about an object i’d like to create. it has technical information but it more importantly should convey spiritual information. without drawing, i can’t find what i’m looking for. when a design has developed beyond the paper and begins to materialize in 3D, even then when looking at it and touching it, still i see the drawings. it’s my aim to create drawings as beautiful as the objects they depict. i use ink pens and pencil on vellum or trace paper. when i began receiving requests for purchasing them, at first i didn’t consider it because i did not know how i could reproduce them in a way that would maintain their detail. i consulted with a friend who has experience in printing and she led me to a man named mat at the pixel mint here in chicago. mat is a genuine craftsman. after meeting with him and seeing his equipment i understood that he thinks about printing similiarly to how i think about my work and he produced a test for me that blew me away. he scans my drawings at 600 dpi and uses an epson surecolor p20000 with ultrachrome pro 9-color ink to print on somerset velvet fine art paper. in simpler terms, they are of the finest quality available. none of the delicate lineweights or pencil are lost during the process.

here is a gallery of some of my drawings, if they are for sale i will list the price next to them.
